Drilling

L/D=5 Length Added to the DFAS Solid Carbide Drill Series for Counter Boring

The DFAS counter boring drill is designed with a square end geometry to produce flat bottom holes. It is also suitable for drilling on inclined and curved surfaces. Thin plate machining can also be performed, therefore   a wide variety of machining applications make it ideal for tool consolidation and lower inventory costs.

The range will expand by 95 items due to the new L/D=5 length type.

Main features of the L/D=5 DFAS drill

  • XR Thinning is adopted to curl and form ideal chips for good evacuation, providing excellent performance with low cutting resistance.

  • The original coolant hole shape "TRI-Cooling Technology" increases the amount of coolant flow without lowering the rigidity of the drill. This greatly improves chip discharge performance and dissipation of cutting heat, making it ideal for stable machining of stainless steel and titanium alloy.

  • A flat land (gash) is provided at the cutting edge corner to ensure strength, and a sharp cutting edge suppresses burrs.

  • Longer L/D=5 depth type now available.
