Designed as an optimum grade for use with the latest technology of deliberately controlled vibration machining. Excellent fracture resistance due to the inherent toughness of the base material effectively suppresses boundary wear damage during the machining of difficult-to-cut materials. This is achieved due to the optimised cemented carbide grain size that reduces thermal conductivity and heating of the cutting edge.
In recent years, with the development of electrification technology in the automotive and other industries, the demand for high-precision small parts is increasing. Stainless steel and other difficult-to-cut materials are often used in these parts, so more and more machine shops are adopting controlled vibration machining technology to improve chip formation and chip disposal. Deliberate vibration cutting differs from normal machining in that it increases the number of impacts with the work material, which tends to cause wear and chipping of the cutting edge. The new MS9025 PVD coated carbide grade enables stable machining during vibration machining, as well as for traditional machining methods.
1.Excellent fracture resistance due to the inherent toughness of the base material.
2.Effectively suppresses boundary wear damage during machining of difficult-to-cut materials. This is achieved by an optimised cemented carbide grain size that reduces thermal conductivity and heating of the cutting edge.
3.Smoothing of the surface of the coating provides excellent welding resistance and promotes stable machining.
