Series Expansion – Blank Insert Added to the GY Series Grooving System and the GW Series Cutting Off and Grooving System

The GY series has received a favorable reception as a grooving system that has a wide selection of holders and inserts available for diverse grooving applications, such as external, internal and face grooving. The GW series is new kind of cutting off and grooving tool that delivers highly reliable insert clamping, provided by a unique system that maximises usability without sacrificing performance.
This blank insert addition enables GY series and GW series to expand its coverage over a wider range of workpiece materials and applications.
Features of the blank insert for the GY series and GW series
1. Special groove geometries can be machined by grinding the blank insert to the required shape.
2. Available in the extra tough cemented carbide grade RT9020, suitable for a wide range of applications.
3. Also available in RT9010 grade that provides excellent welding resistance and extends tool life in stable machining conditions.
