MMC Hardmetal Europe Holdings acquires U.F.P. s.r.l.
Meerbusch, Germany, April 1st, 2025 – MMC Hardmetal Europe Holdings (MHE), A Group Company of Mitsubishi Materials, Metalworking Solutions Company announced today the acquisition of U.F.P. s.r.l. (UFP), one of the largest and well-established providers of reconditioning services and customized tool design solutions for cutting tools in Europe.

Mitsubishi Materials has launched an innovative range of small boring bars for Swiss type automatic lathes. The whole series of these new boring bars are available in both solid carbide and steel. The inclusion of both types provides a choice for end users and provides the benefits of deeper boring capability due to the extra rigidity of the carbide type.

Mitsubishi Materials has developed three new grades of inserts dedicated to the machining of stainless steels. MC7115 for light cutting, MC7125 for general machining and MP7135 for heavy cutting applications.
