Mitsubishi Materials has now extended its range of high feed FMAX cutters for finish machining. In a reversal of the existing philiosphy of a large number of teeth, the new MB type is designed with a minimum number of teeth to facilitate fine finish machining of non rigid components or when milling on smaller, less robust machining centres.

The MMT series, a comprehensive range of inserts and tools for threading has been expanded to include a new 3-D chipbreaker and a new versatile PVD coated grade. In total there are 88 new items now available.

The solid carbide drill, DFAS, for counter boring is a drill designed with a flat bottom shape so that the bottom of the hole is flat.
The DFAS drill is suitable for drilling on inclined or curved surfaces as well as thin plate machining, thus enabling a wide variety of machining applications.

The MICRO-MINI TWIN boring bar is a tool for machining the inner diameter of small, high precision parts on automatic lathes, capable of high quality machining of the inner diameter of holes from as small as 2.2 mm.

MITSUBISHI MATERIALS RECEIVE THE QUALITY AWARD FOR THE DIAEDGE TOOLS AT THE 2023 SCHAEFFLER SUPPLIER DAY: On May 23rd, Schaeffler welcomed over 450 guests to the Supplier Day Award ceremony at its HQ in Herzogenaurach/ Germany, to honour suppliers for their outstanding performance. This Quality Award is a recognition of excellence in the DIAEDGE tools relating to high precision and stable machining processes as well as optimisation of manufacturing operations with reduced costs.

New insert grade for turning stainless steel small parts: To improve performance when conducting small part machining, Mitsubishi Materials has now introduced a new insert grade to its range of precision turning inserts. Ideal for sliding head turning centres and intricate machining, the new MS7025 grade is the insert of choice for machining stainless steels.

Series expansion - new WWX200: Mitsubishi Materials has added a smaller type, the WWX200, with 09 size inserts to complement the versatile WWX400 series of true 90º corner milling cutters for face, shoulder and copying applications.

The IMPACT MIRACLE end mills series has been expanded to include a 4-flute ball nose end mill type. The combination of the newly developed (Al,Cr,Si)N coating with excellent lubricity and oxidation resistance, together with the (Al,Ti,Si)N coating provides the excellent wear resistance and adhesion to other layers, thereby enabling vastly extended tool life when machining hardened steels up to 70HRC.

WSF406W: Indexable face milling for cast iron - Mitsubishi Materials has added a indexable insert face milling cutter to its extensive range of high performance tools. The new WSF406 is a series of cutters for face milling applications. Featuring economical double-sided inserts with 8 cutting edges, WSF406W has been manufactured to the highest standards to meet all the requirements of a modern face milling cutter.

DVAS SOLID CARBIDE MINI DRILLS: Five technologies bring a new industry standard - Conventional deep hole drilling, especially when producing small diameter holes, is usually a slow and unreliable process. The special purpose DVAS mini drills have been designed from the outset specifically for drilling small holes in a wide range of materials.

BC8210 coated PCBN grade. Next generation technology for hardened steel turning - Mitsubishi Materials has developed a new and innovative coated PCBN insert grade, BC8210. In doing so it has extended its comprehensive range of turning inserts. The grade incorporates the company's state of the art coating technology that provides outstanding wear resistance, as well as providing a product that improves productivity and usability.

VFR end mills series expansion: super small diameters 0.2 mm - 0.5 mm - When it comes to the machining of hardened steel, Mitsubishi Materials already has a reputation that places it as one of the leaders in this market sector. To further emphasise this market position, the company has expanded the VFR2XLB series of ball nosed long neck end mills. These new sizes are in the micro range of diameters from Ø 0.2 mm to Ø 0.5 mm and the complete range extends up Ø 6.0 mm.
