VQ4MVM

VQ4MVM

VQ, the top of the range series of carbide end mills from Mitsubishi Materials has recently expanded to include a new innovative type, the VQ4 MVM. This latest addition is ideal for machining stainless steels and difficult-to-cut-materials including titanium and heat resistant super alloys. The modern metal cutting world also demands versatility and a reduction of cutting tool inventory, therefore this new end mill is also suitable for carbon and alloy steel applications.

AHX / XC5010

AHX / XC5010

A new CVD-coated ceramic grade XC5010 has been added to the AHX series. The new grade displays far greater resistance to high temperatures than cemented carbide, therefore it can achieve stable machining even during high-speed cutting that can generate excess temperatures.

MX3030

MX3030

NEW CERMET GRADE MX3030 FOR MILLING: Cermet is a composite used successfully in cutting tools and consists of ceramic (cer) and metallic (met) materials. This combines the attractive properties of both main elements; ceramic provides the elevated temperature resistance whilst the metal component brings the plastic deformation properties of the material to prevent brittleness.

MC6100

MC6100

Tooling engineers and CNC machine programmers face a huge choice of turning insert grades and chipbreakers in the modern market place. Mitsubishi Materials has designed and developed two top class grades, MC6115 and MC6125. These 2 two grades have now been expanded to included positive 5°, 7° and 11° inserts.

MC5100

MC5100

For high performance turning of cast iron, Mitsubishi Materials has launched the MC5100 series, a brand new range of 3 different insert grades that are optimal for each type of cast iron machining application. The series also introduces an innovative new SUB-Grip layer that ensures a highly effective adhesion of the base TiCN coating layer to the carbide substrate.

AXD4000

AXD4000

To complement the AXD range of milling cutters, a series of screw-in types are now available in sizes from Ø25 - Ø40. The addition of a screw-in type brings extra versatility and efficiencies by allowing easy tool changes in situ. Additionally, the small diameters lend themselves to machining in smaller pockets and restricted areas in complex components.

FMAX MB

FMAX MB

Mitsubishi Materials has now extended its range of high feed FMAX cutters for finish machining. In a reversal of the existing philiosphy of a large number of teeth, the new MB type is designed with a minimum number of teeth to facilitate fine finish machining of non rigid components or when milling on smaller, less robust machining centres.

MMT Threading Series

MMT Threading Series

The MMT series, a comprehensive range of inserts and tools for threading has been expanded to include a new 3-D chipbreaker and a new versatile PVD coated grade. In total there are 88 new items now available.

DFAS

DFAS

The solid carbide drill, DFAS, for counter boring is a drill designed with a flat bottom shape so that the bottom of the hole is flat.
The DFAS drill is suitable for drilling on inclined or curved surfaces as well as thin plate machining, thus enabling a wide variety of machining applications.

MICRO-MINI TWIN boring bar

MICRO-MINI TWIN boring bar

The MICRO-MINI TWIN boring bar is a tool for machining the inner diameter of small, high precision parts on automatic lathes, capable of high quality machining of the inner diameter of holes from as small as 2.2 mm.
