MMC Hardmetal UK, located at Tamworth in the UK is a Sales Company of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation and an integral part of the European cutting tools division. Over the past 30 years our company has been delivering high quality cutting tools and integrated solutions that help customers’ keep pace with the latest technological requirements and market trends. Alongside the Head Office, four further national subsidiaries and a wide distribution network offer sales and engineering services throughout Europe. Another subsidiary of the Corporation operates in Spain where there is a production plant as well as a sales office.

Our product portfolio includes a wide variety of cutting tools from Mitsubishi Materials DIAEDGE for drilling, milling and turning, all carefully developed to supply customers from our core business areas such as the automotive, aerospace, medical, mould and die and general machining industries.

HISTORY

2023

MMC Hartmetall GmbH celebrated the 40th anniversary of the opening of the European Headquarters in Meerbusch, Düsseldorf, Germany.

2019

MTEC Stuttgart (Mitsubishi Materials Technology Education Centre) opens in Stuttgart, Germany as an advanced solutions centre with focus on customer co-development, innovation and technology transfer.

2014

A branch office is founded in Turkey.

2009

The European Distribution Centre (EDC), responsible for centrally managing supplies to our locations in Europe, opens in the Netherlands. It can deliver more than 16,000 different items to any of the company’s sites in Europe within 48 hours.

2008

MTEC Espana (Mitsubishi Materials Technology & Education Centre) opens in Valencia, Spain, establishing a state-of-the-art training and competence centre for employees and customers in Europe.

2005

MMC Hardmetal Poland is founded in Wroclaw.

2003

MMC Italia is founded in Milan.

2001

MMC Hardmetal OOO is founded in Moscow. (Office closed in December 2022)

2000

MMC Hardmetal Europe Holdings is founded.

1993

MMC Hardmetal UK is founded – evidence of the company’s lasting success in Europe.

1992

MMC Metal France is founded.

1983

The foundations are laid for successful business expansion in the European market. The headquarters of MMC Hardmetal is established in Waiblingen, Germany. Then in 1987 relocated to Meerbusch.
