Mitsubishi Materials has recently expanded the VQCS chipbreaker series of carbide end mills to include an exceptional, new extra-long type in square and corner radius styles. The extra-long version, introduced together with long and semi-long flute length types are supplied in square and corner radii geometry. The existing series of the square corner long type is boosted with the addition of larger Ø16 mm and Ø20 mm sizes.

Mitsubishi Materials have added the new and innovative RX1S exchangeable head reamers to their line-up. These reamers are full of features for easy, cost effective and accurate reaming over a wide range of different applications.

Mitsubishi Materials has launched a dedicated range of tool holders to complement the huge range of geometries and types available in the iMX series of solid carbide exchangeable end mills.

The popular MC6100 range of inserts has been expanded to include MC6135, a tough grade for applications ranging from continuous turning through to rough and interrupted cutting. This new grade will complement the existing range and provide end users a choice to machine a vast array of steels and of different applications. MC6135 utilises Industry-leading crystal orientation control technology that enables thinner but still impact-resistant coatings that provide improved chipping and wear resistance. Such features are optimal for use on the tough MC6135 grade. Additionally the coating is 50 % thinner compared to previous types.

Construction of a New Plant for Mining and Civil Engineering Tools in Thailand
- Doubling the manufacturing capacity to meet growing demand -

MMC RYOTEC Corporation, a consolidated subsidiary of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, aims to enhance the manufacturing system for the mining and civil engineering tools it manufactures and sells and has decided to construct a new plant at OTEC (Thailand) Co, Ltd. (“OTEC”), its manufacturing base for those tools in Thailand, to expand the manufacturing capacity.

Grâce à un nouveau revêtement obtenu par une technologie révolutionnaire, Mitsubishi Materials repousse les limites de performance des plaquettes d’usinage. Les nuances de fraisage MV1000 et la nuance de tournage MV9005 pour les superalliages permet d’atteindre des niveaux de productivité et de durée de vie jusqu’ici impensables.

La dernière-née de la famille de frises carbure monobloc VQ, la VQ4MVM permet des gains de productivité impressionnants grâce à des angles ramping allant jusqu’à 30°. La VQ4MVM offre d’excellents performances dans le titane et les inox, ainsi que dans les aciers alliés ou au carbone.

Nouveauté mondiale : Avec la nuance XC5010, Mitsubishi Materials présente des plaquettes de fraisage en céramique à revêtement CVD. L’association de la résistance à la chaleur de la céramique et de la résistance à l’usure du revêtement CVD permet d’atteindre des vitesses de coupe allant jusqu’à 1200 m/min dans la fonte pour une productivité jusqu’ici inimaginable.

Par sa grande ténacité, la nouvelle nuance de fraisage MX3030 permet de profiter des avantages du cermet même en ébauche. Alliant grande vitesse de coupe et forte profondeur de passe, elle permet d’obtenir de très hauts niveaux de productivité en ébauche d’aciers et d’inox. L’absence de collage assure un très bon dégagement du copeau et d’excellents états de surface, permettant dans nombre de cas de supprimer des opérations de finition.

La dernière génération de nuances de tournage acier, MC6115 et MC6125 est maintenant également disponible en plaquettes positives. Cela vous permet de garantir d’excellents niveaux de productivité sur une gamme de tournage complète allant de l’ébauche à la finition et au copiage.
