ASPX Series - New HSK shanks and advanced MP9140 grade for titanium alloys: To emphasise the strength, high power and large metal removal capability, the ASPX series has been expanded with two new, integrated HSK one piece shank types. The ASPX series now has also a new advanced grade, MP9140, to add extra performance and reliability.

New multi-flute VQN end mills: VQN, the top of the range series of carbide end mills from Mitsubishi Materials now includes 2 new innovative types. These latest additions have been designed for specialised applications in Nickel-based heat resistant super alloys such as Inconel.

For the effective light to medium continuous and interrupted turning of high hardened steels, Mitsubishi Materials has developed a new and innovative coated PCBN insert grade, BC8220.

Mitsubishi Materials reknowned range of solid carbide end mills includes the Alimaster series, designed specifically for ultra high efficiency milling of aluminium alloys. The latest additions to the series are a 3 flute square corner type the A3SA / DLC3SA, and the A3SARB / DLC3SARB, a 3 flute corner radius type. Both types are available with the new DLC coating and also uncoated.

Mitsubishi Materials has designed and developed a new grade, MC6125, that is highly versatile and can perform at the highest level across an increased range of different applications. This enables an easy first choice start point when choosing an insert for turning steels and thereby reduces the inventory levels of inserts.

MC6115 has the combination of a high hardness base material and new thick Al2O3 outer coating with improved wear resistance at high temperatures. It also has higher peeling resistance and cutting edge stability achieved by super TOUGH-GRIP technology. This provides the ultimate enhancement of the adhesion between the Al2O3 and TiCN coating layers.

The special purpose DWAE drills have been designed from the outset specifically for drilling in the confined spaces of Swiss type and automatic lathes.

Mitsubishi Materials has expanded its comprehensive range of premium insert grades for turning. BC5110 is a specially coated CBN type specifically for machining grey cast irons such as GG25 and GG30. Whereas the MH515 grade is a CVD coated carbide grade designed for cast austenitic stainless steels as well as ductile cast iron.

For machining difficult-to-cut materials with a high level of accuracy and efficiency, Mitsubishi Materials has expanded its ARP series of round insert, high runout accuracy milling tools. ARP is ideal for machining titanium and other heat resistant alloys as well as stainless steels that are commonplace in the aerospace and power generation industries.

Mitsubishi Materials has added a versatile indexable insert milling cutter to its extensive range of high performance tools. The new WWX400 is a series of true 90º corner milling cutters for face, shoulder and copying applications.

The VPX200 & 300 range of tangential, indexable insert milling cutters from Mitsubishi Materials has been expanded to include new, long edge types. These long edge types expand the application area to include deeper shoulder and pocket machining and complement the recently launched sharp geometry L-breaker inserts for the VPX200 type.
