Mitsubishi Materials has now extended its range of high feed FMAX cutters for finish machining. In a reversal of the existing philiosphy of a large number of teeth, the new MB type is designed with a minimum number of teeth to facilitate fine finish machining of non rigid components or when milling on smaller, less robust machining centres.

The IMPACT MIRACLE end mills series has been expanded to include a 4-flute ball nose end mill type. The combination of the newly developed (Al,Cr,Si)N coating with excellent lubricity and oxidation resistance, together with the (Al,Ti,Si)N coating provides the excellent wear resistance and adhesion to other layers, thereby enabling vastly extended tool life when machining hardened steels up to 70HRC.
