Regarding the New Brand Strategy for the Metalworking Solutions Business and Trade Name Change of Subsidiaries

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation Metalworking Solutions Company has decided to adopt the brand name “Mitsubishi Materials” for the products of the Metalworking Solutions business, which manufactures and sells cemented carbide tools. In addition, we will change the trade names of six subsidiaries that sell or manufacture carbide tools products.

Since 2017, the Metalworking Solutions business has been promoting “DIAEDGE” as the unified global brand for our cemented carbide tool products, and this brand has contributed to enhancing recognition as the unified brand for cemented carbide tool products. However, since overseas sales account for over 80% of our total sales, we have decided to align our same corporate name with our product brand to further strengthen our competitiveness in the global market.

< Change of Brand Name >
Starting from April 1, 2025, we will begin transitioning from the previously used brand "DIAEDGE" to "Mitsubishi Materials" for carbide tool products. The product logos and promotional materials will be gradually switched to the new brand.

< Change of Trade Name of Subsidiaries >
Effective July 1, 2025, the trade names of the carbide tool subsidiaries in each region will be changed to include Mitsubishi Materials. We will announce the new company names as soon as confirmed.
