MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION, Metalworking Solutions Company (President: Kazuo Ohara, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku Tokyo) will sell the exchangeable head reamer, the RX1S from July 16^th.

The RX1S exchangeable head reamer makes hole finishing of a wide variety of components more convenient. Replacing the head means a wide range of cutting diameters is possible due to an easy-to-use replacement function that achieves excellent radial run out accuracy.

Main features of the exchangeable head reamer RX1S are as follows

1. Combining a highly versatile carbide base metal with a specialized PVD coating. It can machine a wide range of materials, including carbon and stainless steels, cast iron and heat-resistant alloys.
    
2. Two head shapes, a helical flute head for through holes (inner flute lubrication type) and a straight flute head for blind holes (centre lubrication type). The hole tolerance h7, can be achieved according to the hole configuration.
    
3. The fastening mechanisms of the head and tool holder achieve higher radial run out accuracy by double-capping the tapered surface and the centre locking screw.
    
4. The tool holder can be selected from both short and long types according to the depth of the bores.
