C/DLC-AL Carbide End Mill for Aluminium Alloy

MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION, Metalworking Solutions Company (President: Tosuya Tanaka, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has launched the C/DLC-AL carbide end mill for aluminium alloy machining on July 16th.

The C/DLC-AL carbide end mill for aluminium alloy has excellent sharpness and chip disposal properties. The major cutting edge form is highly effective at controlling chatter, thus enabling stable machining of non-ferrous material components.

The lineup includes a wide variety of configurations, including 2-flute, 3-flute, long flute length, a slim shank type as well as a range of DLC-coated types for aluminium and non-ferrous alloys.

Main features of the C/DLC-AL carbide end mill for aluminium

  1. A sharp major cutting edge with a helix angle of 45°achieves good cutting quality and chip discharge.
     
  2. Optimum major cutting edge geometry that suppresses chatter.
     
  3. A wide range of types are available, including the number of flutes, overall length and DLC-coating.
