MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION, Metalworking Solutions Company (Company President: Kazuo Ohara, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku Tokyo) has added a coarse pitch type to the FMAX series for high efficiency aluminium alloy and cast iron finish machining. This new type will go on sale on June 12th.
The FMAX cutters have a lightweight and high-rigidity body and an ultra-fine pitch design that enables high efficiency machining of non-ferrous metals such as aluminium alloys and gray cast iron (FC300, etc.).
MITSUBISHI MATERIALS is pleased to announce an addition to the range of a “coarse pitch” type suitable for thin plate machining, thereby expanding the scope of applications. This addition supports machining environments where the rigidity of machine tools and workpiece materials are low.
1. Stable finishing is possible even when the rigidity of the machine or workpiece material is low due to reducing the number of teeth.
2. Reduces tool costs while maintaining the existing insert mounting and fine cutting edge adjustment functions.
