MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION, Metalworking Solutions Company (Company President: Kazuo Ohara, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku Tokyo) has added a 4-flute ball nose end mill, VFR4MB, to the IMPACT MIRACLE end mill series for machining hardened steel. This latest addition will go on sale on April 3^rd.

The IMPACT MIRACLE end mills for machining hardened steel have been highly evaluated by many customers as an extremely reliable cutter that demonstrates excellent wear resistance and achieves a long tool life when machining hardened steel.

Mitsubishi Materials is pleased to announce the addition of the VFR4MB 4-flute ball nose end mill to the current  range.
 

Key features of the VFR4MB:

1. The combination of the newly developed (Al,Cr,Si)N coating with excellent lubricity and oxidation resistance, together with the (Al,Ti,Si)N coating that displays excellent wear resistance and adhesion to other layers, enables vastly extended tool life when machining hardened steel.

2. The 4-flute, fully extended cutting edge design enables machining even when tilted, thereby high feeds at any cutting angle can be achieved. It also allows high efficiency machining by improving the feed rate when finish machining.
