MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION Metalworking Solutions Company (Company President: Tetsuya Tanaka, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has released a screw-in type to the AXD4000 series for machining aluminium alloys and difficult-to-cut materials. The series addition will be released on August 1st.
The AXD4000 series features strong insert clamping that securely fixes the insert to the tool body with a double screw clamping and also uses MITSUBISHI MATERIALS’ proprietary “Anti Fly Insert” mechanism (Double AFI). This enables secure high speed, high efficiency machining. Furthermore, this multi-functional cutter achieves high precision machining by adopting a unique insert geometry and advanced grinding technology.
MITSUBISHI MATERIALS is pleased to announce the addition to the range of a screw-in type that has the advantages of ease of tool management and economic efficiency to the current lineup.
1. Interchangeability allows for multiple types of heads to be used with the same shank.
2. Economical to replace just the head if damage occurs during machining.
3. Deterioration of the finished surface due to chatter which is a problem when machining deep applications, is suppressed by the screw-in-type and high efficiency machining is achieved with the combination of a solid carbide straight shank arbor, in a BT30, BT40 or HSK63A tool holder.
