MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION Metalworking Solutions Company (Company President: Tetsuya Tanaka, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has released a mini-sized DWAE in the WSTART Drill Series of solid carbide drills for automatic and small lathes. The new mini-size drill diameter ranges from 1mm to 2.9 mm and went on sale on April 15th.
This new addition to the solid carbide WSTAR Drill Series for automatic and small lathes, DWAE, has low cutting resistance, excellent chip control, and provides stable hole drilling.
MITSUBISHI MATERIALS is pleased to announce the addition of 40 mini-size items with a drill diameter of 1mm to 2.9 mm to meet the needs in small diameter drilling.
The new cutting edge shape achieves a low cutting resistance that allows highly stable drilling even where the rigidity of workpiece materials or clamping is difficult to secure.
1. The unique minimized length of the lower part of the neck achieves improved tool rigidity and chip evacuation.
2. Excellent wear resistance under cutting conditions in the low to medium speed range are achieved by adopting the PVD coated carbide grade DP102A.
3. Added mini-sizes with drill diameters of 1 mm to 2.9 mm.
