MITSUBISHI MATERIALS CORPORATION Metalworking solutions company (Company President: Tetsuya Tanaka, Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has added 82 inserts of the MP9000 PVD coated grade for grooving and cutting off of heat-resistant alloys.
The GY series provides a wide selection of holders and inserts available for a diverse range of grooving and cutting off applications.
The MP9000 grade inserts are suitable for machining difficult-to-cut materials such as heat and wear-resistant alloys commonly used for aerospace and medical industry components. Improved chipping and welding resistance prevents the sudden fracture and chipping problems that commonly occur when machining these types of materials.
1. The high Al-rich (Al, Ti)N single layer coating provides stabilization of the high hardness phase and succeeds in dramatically improving wear, crater and welding resistance.
2. MP9025: First recommended grade focusing on fracture resistance.
3. MP9015: High hardness grade focusing on wear resistance.
