Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, Metalworking Solutions Company (President - Shinichi Nakamura, Headquarters: Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has added MP9025, a PVD coated grade for interrupted machining, to the MP9000/MT9000 insert series for turning difficult-to-cut materials.
The MP9000/MT9000 series is ideal for turning difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium, heat resistant and corrosion resistant alloys that are typically used in the aircraft and medical industries. The MP9000/MT9000 series has gained a good reputation from customers by providing superior wear, fracture and welding resistance that enables longer tool life.
To expand the application options available, MP9025, a PVD coated grade for interrupted machining has been added to the MP9000/MT9000 insert series.
1. MP9025 is a grade designed for interrupted machining for light through to rough cutting applications.
2. The MP9025 grade prevents insert damage thereby providing increased stability.
